System Purpose

Hand-written input recognition system for UIQ-smartphones converts hand-written characters into printed ones “on the fly”. This system completely integrates into the phone, allows using two language layouts simultaneously and has a possibility of training.

System Capabilities

  • Hand-written input system for UIQ-smartphones “Primetech Jot” supports recognition of letters, digits, standard symbols, and some macroses that completely duplicate keyboard functions (backspace, etc.).
  • Hand-written input system for UIQ-smartphones “Primetech Jot” has the possibility of training. It means that the system user has a possibility of pattern editing and associating them with corresponding symbols. Accordingly, the user has a possibility of language layouts editing or creation on their own. For example, if the user writes symbol “A” in their own original way, which does not look like any existing standard pattern, he can train the system with the help of special application by writing this symbol 2-6 times in their own style to enable the system understand previously unknown pattern.
  • The user has a possibility of simultaneous usage of two language layouts, which can be switched between with the help of a special symbol. The color of an indicator reflects changes between the layouts.
